EXTREME DO-GOODER

Laura reminded us in class yesterday that just doing one good thing for the day might be a great way to begin our day-to-day living. So...I decided to break it out into a good thing for others and a good thing for me. I wrote three clergy friends a note affirming their ministries. Why might I do a good thing for myself? If you remember from our video, Rueben Job said that when we reflect on "Love thy neigbor as thyself" we are reminded to take care of ourselves and so I exercised, I set aside time to finish a book on preaching [which WAS enjoyable] and I did a little creative work. Now, I am pumped to do even more good!
I am praying that God will show me an "outrageous" good that I can commit this week---something that will surprise me, something that will take a little courage, a little chutzpah. What extreme good might you consider doing this week? Let's lean into doing good, living towards God's extreme love for us!

blogging with us

Happy Presidents Day!
Karin and I have spent a few minutes ironing out some details. In order for our blog to remain "private" in other words closed to the Internet public, we need to send you an invite to participate in our discussions.
If you have a GMail account please email me. In return I will send you an invite. Very simply follow the link in the email. The site will prompt you to create a "name" that will be displayed when you post.
If you do not have a GMail account. . we have a few more details to iron out. Stay tuned!

Hello Adult Sunday School Folks!!

It has taken us a while to figure this out exactly, but we think we have it up and running . For this week we would like to you post a response with a simple Hi my name is and a few clues about yourself so others will remember who you are in class. If you are a computer whiz, post a photo or a piece of clip art that will remind who you are. Remember to read chapter 2 ( for those of you who forgot last week) and for those of you who are ahead, read chapter 3.

The question for the week:
How do you do no harm in your families?
